Wolverhampton & District Cricket League.
Walsall Youth Cricket Association.
Wolverhampton Umpires Association.

THANK YOU TO Tom Morgan, who has been a member of the club for 33 years and played cricket for 25 of these. During his playing time he skippered the sides for 17 years which makes him the longest serving Captain. Tom has always been a great asset, and together with his wife and family has arranged many successful social gatherings. Tom is still an active member, being a Trustee and member of the Management Committee.

THANK YOU TO Dennis Smith for his years of patiently standing Umpire. Dennis, an already reliable Umpire joined the Wolverhamptpn Umpires Association on Pelsall's entry into the Wolyerhampton & District Cricket League, and we were very proud, when in 1979, he won the R. McGrath Umpires Trophy. Although he has been unable to stand umpire regularly over the past two seasons, due to other commitments, he hopes to do so this season in our Centenary Celebration matches.

It is encouraging to see that in 1985 our Centenary Year there will be five players in our teams who have served the Club between them for 139 years. The longest serving of these is Ron Perry, who has notched up 34 years, playing in 1st and 2nd teams and who has spent hours of his time preparing wickets and working on the ground. Next we have Mike Jennings, who has played for 31 years, again in 1st and 2nd teams and who helps with the running of the Youth teams. Edwin Barton has played for 29 years in both teams and it is to Edwin our thanks must go for arranging our Whitsun Tours each year. Lawrence Bennett has been with us for 25 years and is our Cricket Section Chairman. We have to thank Laurie for introducing Youth Cricket back into the club and he is their Manager. He is also 2nd team Captain on Saturdays and Sundays. Last but not least we have Colin Hooker, who has played for Pelsall for 20 years. Colin is our current Cricket Section Treasurer and works very hard on the ground and square and is instrumental in rallying working parties.

Congratulations and thanks to these gentlemen.
